Social ... Speaker Open Meetings: 4th Weds in month - Open to Members & Visitors (new Non Members) 'Greet & Meet' in Town: 1st Fridays (morning) in the month at The Crown Inn (coffee area) Breakfast Club: 3rd Tuesdays in month at various venues Facebook - Members Together: Private Facebook Group where members can share news and photos
Outings ... Out & About: Day Visits (x 4) to interesting locations usually with an organised guide Garden Visits: Half Day Visits (x 4) to selected gardens including time for lunch Churches - Exploring: Shropshire Churches (x 4) with organised guide incl. light refreshments Bus Pass - Day Out: Using local buses and sometimes a Mini-Bus (x 4) to visit places of interest.
Games ... Bridge Group: Fridays (am) Relaxed social bridge at intermediate level Bridge for Refreshers: Thursdays (pm) with support from experienced players Cribbage: Tuesdays (pm) (2nd & 4th) to play this traditional pub game Games Together: Mondays (pm) Mahjong, Canasta, Backgammon, Rummikub, Scrabble
Interest Groups ... Art Appreciation: Mondays (3rd) discussing art from ancient to modern in its many forms Book Groups x 2: Meeting once a month (Weds) to discuss selected books Calligraphy: Mondays monthly (3rd Mondays) for practising this handwriting artform Cinema Goers: Email reminders for films/live events at our local Majestic Cinema Family History A mixture of experienced and novice family history researchers meet to share skills and experiences monthly (4th Thursday afternoons) IT Support - iPads & M'Soft Windows: Until end of August 2025 only - Drop In and 1-2-1 Support Sessions to help use IT devices more efficiently Needlecrafters: Embroidery and Knitting Skills (4th Mondays) shared together Photography: Meets fortnightly (In & Out) sharing and taking photographs Quiz Hour (Zoom): Tuesdays (am) weekly Quiz hour with Q&As supplied by members Theatre Goers: Thursdays (4th) and organised Theatre Trips during year Travellers: Occasional. Languages ... French Conversation x 2 Keeping up french linguistic skills in an informal setting Spanish - Let's Learn Support (Zoom) in speaking the spanish language.
