u3a in Bridgnorth
Bridgnorth & District u3a was formed in April 2007.
Our current membership is 375+ with over thirty Activity and Interest Groups.
We are one amongst nearly 1000 u3as based in cities and towns throughout the UK operating independently but affiliated to our umbrella organisation The Third Age Trust. www.u3a.org.uk
Non Member Visitors ...
who are no longer in full-time work or have finished raising a family, are very welcome to come along to one of our monthly open Speaker Meetings to discover what u3a is all about. There is no minimum or maximum age limit.
Speaker Meetings ...
are held monthly on fourth Wednesdays (except December) usually in Bridgnorth Community Hall, Low Town (off Severn Street) WV15 6BB
Doors open at 1.30pm to welcome members and visiting new Non Members. Entry fee is £2.00.
The Guest Speaker is introduced at 2.00pm and is followed by notices on activities/interest groups and time for members and visitors to mingle over tea or coffee.
Parking is available in the adjacent public car park at 50p per hour.

ACTIVITIES & INTERESTS ... take a look at the range of our Activity and Interest Groups.
Not every member regularly attends our monthly open meetings, rather choosing to just take part in one or more of our varied Activity/Interest Groups. NB: Full and current membership is required to take part in any activity.
Joining an Activity/Interest Group is a great opportunity to make new friends whilst taking up new challenges and learning something new. Interest Groups are continually being formed by our members and Group Leaders are supported by our Activities Coordinator and other Committee Members.
Costs for Activities are always kept to the minimum (and some are actually free) only recouping expenses incurred, such as room hire, refreshments, tickets and transport.
Are you ready for a new experience now that you have time on your hands?
You are very welcome to join us by completing an Application Form.
Membership entitles you to join activities/interest groups, attend our monthly Speakers Meeting, receive our quarterly national magazine 'u3a matters' and receive monthly email updates.
